Ok so I’ve been thinking a lot about the word priority.
What are my “priorities”…
How to make time for my “priorities”…
Here’s what I’ve learned. The things in your life that you can’t let go of, those dreams and thoughts that keep you up at night, that “thing” that comes to your head when someone asks you what you want to be when you grow up… your goals. Make that shit a priority. Stop distracting yourself with other things… you need to do what you need to do for you. Here’s how you make time for your dreams.
Priority: a thing that is regarded as more important than another.
SO MAKE IT. Make you the most important part of your day. Wake up in the morning and put yourself first. Before you open your phone, before you let anyone else know that you even exist today.. wake up early and get it — for you. This is your sacred self time. If you want to get fit – wake up and get your workout done FIRST… as the day goes on, other “things” and other people will make themselves a priority- that is inevitable. Get it in your head that no one else is going to make your life for you… YOU are the one who is going to make it happen.
Need more time? Make your priorities like little mandatory meetings with yourself. Someone asks if you have plans, say yeah dude I’ve got a meeting from 2-3 today then after I’m free. “What’s your meeting about?” “I’ve got some exciting things in the works.” Surprise bitch, it’s me working on evolving myself. BUT really, if you want things to change, you’ve got to change. I mean ideally you would have more than an hour for yourself everyday, but you need to start somewhere if you’re having a hard time prioritizing and “finding time”.
Create buzz around what you love to do… be excited to be adding value to yourself. This will give you something new and exciting to look forward to and talk about.
AND when you are talking about positive new things it creates opportunity for other’s to share their new thoughts and it helps attract more positivity into your life. Talk about it and be about it so much that you ARE it.
